Brandon RussellTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Checked out Hillsboro Barbell for the first time yesterday. Adolfo, one of the trainers there, gave me some tips on deadlifting. I literally have no experience at a gym—I’ve just been using my home gym and watching YouTube videos on proper form… but honestly, I probably haven’t been doing it right. Within one minute of talking to Adolfo about deadlift form, he taught me about "bracing," "three fingers from the bar," and using a "slight jump" to find your strongest stance. It was kind of mind-blowing how much there is to just one exercise. In the video, I’m sure I’m still doing some things wrong, but I hit a one-rep max of 365 lbs and feel good about it—especially considering I have no real experience! Haha. Super friendly owners who double as incredible coaches for lifters from beginners to competitors at the national level.
